The Workforce Investment Board (WIB) of Solano County is pleased to offer the VETLINK program to eligible Veterans and eligible spouses through a special grant award.
The VETLINK Program includes:
√ Skills Training, including soft and hard skills development
√ Resume development and Interview Preparedness skills
√ Workshops and Internet access
√ Intensive Job Search and Job Placement Assistance
√ Career Coaching
√ A Veterans Navigator to assist you in your transition
Additional Services VETLINK may provide:
√ Assistance with Tuition Costs
√ Assistance with Books/Supply Fees
√ Assistance Purchasing Tools/Uniforms
√ Assistance with Testing/Certification Fees
√ Assistance with Transportation and Childcare Fees
√ Assistance with Pre-employment Screening Fees
√ Some financial assistance may be available!
HOW TO APPLY:
If you are interested in the VETLINK Program, please call the Workforce Investment Board Veterans Program Hotline (707) 863-3568. Please leave a message that includes your name and phone number. A WIB Navigator will return your call with an appointment time to attend an information session. During the session, your eligibility will be determined.
WHAT TO BRING:
Once scheduled for an information session, you will be asked to provide proof of the following:
• Birth date/age (examples: Birth Certificate, Passport, CA I.D.)
• Right to Work (examples: Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, Passport)
• Separation from Service (DD214) under “Honorable” or “General Under Honorable” conditions
